There is no better way to get up close and personal with East Africa's unique nature and wildlife than a safari in the Maasai Mara. Seeing these animals in their natural habitat is an experience that should be on any traveler's list. 

From riding atop the safari vehicle, to having my hat blown off by the wind and land in front of a group of lions, it was a memorable day. This small trip was a great way for the RIEL team to escape the chaos of Nairobi and take in the vast landscape of the region before settling into village life for the next couple of weeks.
